For as long as I was an-house writer or journalist (since taking on my first role at a weekly newspaper, aged 21), I always found additional time to create content - outside of my 'day job' - for small to medium-sized businesses. Back then, copywriting was a relatively 'new' industry, but today, more and more brands are realising the value of well-crafted copy when it comes to boosting their communications.
Reaching my tenth year (in 2015) was an exciting milestone for me, along with the decision to go self-employed mid-way through 2014. And such is the ongoing demand for copywriting support, that I've now sought some help of my own: please say a big hello to Sarah McSweeney.
She'll be joining LH Freelance on a part-time basis, as of this month, to help strengthen the support I can offer my clients - some of whom have been with me from the very beginning.
Spending some time living in both France and Germany, Sarah started her career in recruitment and today teaches French and German to GCSE and A-level students. She'll be helping out with a few projects here and there, so do look out for her via my social media accounts.
"I'm looking forward to working with Lauren and getting stuck into some new and exciting online and offline projects." says Sarah.
If you haven't already, why not pop over and say hello on Facebook and Twitter?
